Words are like a spiderweb, intricately woven and designed to catch their prey. I hope my words catch your attention.

And so it beigns...
I'm not all that great at posting blogs, or in fact, anything noteworthy on the Internet. I usually get brain blocked and start staring at the computer screen for long minutes just typing and retyping just to erase it all for the 14th time. That doesn't make me special; I bet everyone has those moments. Especially when you have to sit down and write a five page paper, remember those? You're torn between not wanting to write it at all and knowing you have to anyway. So, it ends up that it's the night before and you still haven't written anything, let alone the grade A literary piece your teacher is expecting. It doesn't help if your a perfectionist either. It's a curse. You're stuck even longer at the screen simply because the words don't sound right together and so you force yourself to correct a problem that doesn't really need to be fixed in order to pass the English coarse. But, some can argue that its a blessing too. I mean, you'll probably gain a better grade because the paper reads smoother and everyone will be slightly more impressed with your word ethic. But when it's already 12 at night and your eyes are starting to bulge out from lack of sleep, you're not exactly happy. Perfectionism isn't all that bad though. I know I'm sounding cynical in this piece. But Its true. Perfectionism really wouldn't be that bad if you had given yourself time to write the paper in the first place. Then that feeling of pure agony as you sit there pulling your hair out strand by strand would disappear. Possibly. There's always that temptation, lurking in the depth of the internet... Check facebook...I bet you have a notification...You did two seconds ago...maybe you have another one... Or...Oh, that youtube video looked really cool... ACK! He can sing Jasmine AND Aladin! Yep, those distractions. They are tempting. I visit them a lot. Especially when I have to write my papers. I admit to being a compulsive facebooker and youtube video watcher. And hey, that video of nick Pitera singing, IS amazing. I'm just glad summer is here for most of us. We get to face a new problem: Boredom. I never thought I would love having nothing to do. And know what's sad? I think I check facebook less now that I have nothing to procrastinate...
